Since childhood I drew pleasure in watching the landscape of my city- Udaipur and its countryside. My intimate contact with hills, rocks, boulders, water springs, architecture, lakes, flora and fauna of Udaipur region has always enthused me and my creative urge.
In my earlier works during seventies and eighties the nature of Udaipur and the inherent pictorial aesthetics of Indian traditional miniature paintings remained my forte. But, slowly and gradually, abstraction and tactile effects came into play.
In my present series of art works, I have employed several techniques of creating textures that always filled me with the spiritual energy, yet, the landscape of my city, Udaipur, remains my prime concern.
